Welcome friends, welcome to our website and to my practice. I look forward to the beginning of a wonderful relationship that will lead you to a healthier, happier, and more confident smile.
I knew early on in dental school at UCLA that orthodontics was my calling. The combination of art and science, the positive impact on others’ lives, and the long-term relationships with patients and their families were just what I wanted in life.
I am a lifelong learner, having spent an extraordinary amount of time as a student, practitioner, and teacher to acquire and share the knowledge, skills, and judgment that directly benefit you, a member of my patient family. My passion for being the kind of doctor I would choose for my own family shows in everything I do. My staff and I are known for our friendliness and integrity. The warm relationships that we develop with our patients and their families are of paramount importance to us.
As with most orthodontists, I was at the top of my class throughout my academic life. I graduated as Valedictorian from El Modena High School in Orange and went on to study Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. After working as a logic design engineer for a few years, I attended dental school at UCLA, graduating with Honors and receiving several awards and commendations for academic excellence and clinical achievement. I completed my residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where I achieved the Orthodontic Clinical Award given to the top senior resident.
I continuously update my knowledge base in orthodontics and related fields by being an active member of various local and national dental and orthodontic organizations and study clubs. I am honored to be a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, having gone through a rigorous 10-year process of written and oral examinations and patient treatment defense before a panel of expert orthodontists from academia and private practice. This is an elective process and represents the pinnacle of achievement for a clinical orthontist – an honor bestowed upon about 25% of orthodontists throughout America.
I practice and reside with my family in beautiful Laguna Niguel. My wife, Ann, and I have been married over 16 years and are blessed with five adorable and healthy children: Nathan, Nicole, Natalie, Noelle and Nicholas. We’re often out and about around town at local parks, restaurants, shops and sporting fields.
